OverviewWe are hiring a
Family Time Case Manager TEMP.
A Family Time Case Manager is a rewarding position where you'll provide support and guidance to parents working to rebuild their relationships with children affected by abuse and neglect. In this role, you'll help parents develop essential parenting skills, increase their parental capacity, and address concerns leading to child welfare involvement. You’ll also promote and supervise safe, supervised family time, fostering attachment and bonding between parents and children.
As part of the "family team," you will collaborate with caseworkers, attorneys, treatment providers, kinship and foster families, and parents.
This part-time, hybrid position is primarily community-based, with some remote or office work flexibility. You will work no more than 30 hours per week, with typical hours being anywhere between 12:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Attendance at team meetings on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. is required. Additional duties may include transporting children to scheduled visitations and assisting with departmental tasks.
As a hybrid position, you will be required to work at least one day per week in the office. You must have reliable internet access and a suitable workspace for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Providing safe, educational, and supervised parenting time for children in out-of-home placement and their parents
- Assessing and evaluating parenting skills, offering skill-building to address deficits and ensure child safety, focusing on the Six Protective Factors
- Working as part of a team with the family, support network, Caseworker, Guardian Ad Litem, care provider, and other service providers
- Testifying in court
- Providing transportation for children to and from parenting time
- Documenting each contact with a family in a timely and accurate manner
- Attending Family Unity Meetings, Family Group Conferences, and Permanency Round Tables for families on your caseload
- Participating in unit meetings, individual supervision, and group supervision
- Providing in-person family time for incarcerated parents at the Larimer County Detention Center
- Training, coaching, and supporting kin/non-traditional kin to provide safe, supervised family time

- Knowledge of family dynamics and effective parenting methods
- Understanding of child development, abuse, neglect, and parent education
- Ability to work with parents facing substance use, mental health, and legal challenges, as well as their extended family/supports
- Experience working with traumatized children
- Familiarity with social services program principles, practices, and objectives
- Ability to respond to emergencies and handle crisis situations
- Understanding of case management principles and planning in social casework
- Safe driving techniques and knowledge of proper passenger restraint
- Ability to serve as a credible witness in court
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources and their application to cases
- Effective observation, assessment, and documentation of client behaviors
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans
- Ability to manage conflict and resolve difficult situations
- Excellent time management and scheduling skills
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining timely and accurate records

- Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Combination of education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
