The Irvine Police Department is conducting a recruitment for the position of Public Safety Supervisor I. The department seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a high level of professionalism and a broad-based understanding of Public Safety support services. Your Impact - Supervises the daily activities and operations of Technical Services (Public Safety Fleet).
- Assists in the procurement of equipment for Public Safety Fleet.
- Supervises the daily activities and operations of the Temporary Holding Facility.
- Meets with representatives of custody contract provider to review programs and related activities, needs and concerns.
- Participates in all annual audits and inspections to include OC Health Care Agency, OC Fire Authority, Board of State and Community Corrections, Juvenile Justice Commission and Grand Jury.
- Prepares monthly and annual reports for Board of State and Community Corrections and DOJ.
- Oversees special permitting for vendors providing services within the City.
- Assists in overseeing facility maintenance needs for the department.

Minimum Qualifications- Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field with four years' experience in Parking Control, Animal Services or Property & Evidence, including two years' experience in a lead or supervisory capacity, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Possess, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications- Four years' experience working in Custody and Fleet, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
