Human Resources Specialist Senior: - Graduation with an Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field, plus three (3) years of related HR experience.

Position Overview:
The Human Resources Specialist Sr. or Human Resources Advisor supports the Capital Delivery Services ( CDS ) Human Resources (HR) Division. This position will be responsible for monitoring/supporting timely and accurate timekeeping and payroll activity as well as providing back-up support to the Employee Relations (ER) team and on HR division projects. The primary responsibility for this position will be to serve as the Department Time Administrator for the UKG time management system, including making/assisting with time entries, running completion reports each pay period, ensuring timecards are approved appropriately, following up/resolving complex timekeeping issues, and reporting/responding to CDS leadership and Payroll inquiries.
Additionally, this position will support the ER team in providing advice and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and executives across the department on ER matters, including interpretation and application of policy, procedure and MCS rules, will draft relevant memorandums and correspondence, and will assist with planning and implementing large-scale or complex projects. This position may also handle unemployment claims, public information requests, record maintenance, database entry, and other general HR functions and duties as assigned.

Travel: The Capital Delivery Services Department is comprised of multiple facilities located throughout Austin. If you are selected for this position, and meet
the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Record Evaluation you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.
Hybrid Work Environment: The City of Austin Telework Program is designed to empower employees and leaders to establish hybrid work arrangements that promote high levels of performance and engagement. The City of Austin has an established work arrangement under which an employee is scheduled to work at least 2 days per week at their designated worksite. Some positions may require additional time at their designated worksite.

Pay Range
HR Spec Sr: $26.61 - $31.87
HR Advisor: $30.70 - $38.37
Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
