OverviewThe Natural Resources Department is looking for an Accounting Technician II to join our team!
In this role you will p erform moderately complex clerical accounting duties requiring a working knowledge of bookkeeping and public agency accounting procedures. Performs a wide variety of accounting clerical work, including setting up and maintaining financial records. Enters into information into database daily.
Our mission is to establish, protect, and manage significant regional parks and open lands providing quality outdoor recreational opportunities and stewardship of natural resource values. The typical schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. Please note this position is located at the Department of Natural Resources Administration Office located at 1800 S. County Road 31 in Loveland at the base of Carter Lake.

- Reviewing and reconciling sales shift reports submitted by employees and outside vendors.
- Entering permit inventory activity into the sales database.
- Communicating with staff and management on revenue results.
- Compiling daily banking reports with appropriate documentation.
- Facilitating communication between the public and administration regarding payment of park violations.
- Collaborating with the accounting team, front desk staff, and gatehouse attendants on process improvement proposals for permit sales.
- Completing other projects and duties as assigned.

- One (1) year of experience as a Larimer County Accounting Technician I, comparable experience in a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
