One full-time position and one part-time available with the Parks & Recreation Department, Athletics Division located at 4600 E. 63rd St.
Salary Range: $17.35-$26.47/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Hours will vary, Monday-Thursday, 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Friday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities- Monitors athletic programs and leagues while assisting Senior Recreational Director with Athletic programming.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills with an acute attention to detail are essential.
- Monitors outdoor sports with emphasis on Soccer, Softball, Flag Football, Tennis, Pickleball and other programs as assigned.
- Communicates with our athletic partners that are utilizing our facilities.
- Greets the public.
- Assists with planning/developing leagues.
- Makes league schedules.
- Communicates with league coaches, officials, parents, and players.
- Maintains athletic equipment and facilities.
- Performs cash handling training mandatory.
Qualifications
REQUIRES high school graduation and 6 months of experience in recreational activities. May be required to possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must pass a preemployment drug screen as prescribed by the City. Preference given for experience in recreation activity working with individuals with disabilities.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
