Job/Department Summary:
Under direction, Extended Education Specialists (EES) support day-to-day program operations through planning, course set-up, data collection, and student engagement to ensure quality learning opportunities through a wide variety of credit and non-credit educational programs. The EES provides support to Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) by leading the coordination and general program management of its program offerings, establishing standard operating procedures, assisting in developing new offerings, providing feedback on recruitment and retention initiatives, and/or supporting in the general administration of major aspects of campus/PCE program(s).
Required Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
AND
Equivalent to two years of experience in planning classes or programs in a specialized field or area, preferably in higher, extended, or adult education.
*Teaching experience in higher or extended education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Bilingual.
- Planning classes or programs in a specialized field or area, preferably in higher, extended, adult education and/or K-12 setting.
- Experience developing resources, budgets, and marketing plans for educational programs.
Time Base: Full-time
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm
*This position is open to on-campus CSU, Chico employees only.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $63,684 - $90,648 per year.
