    Strategic Government Resources (SGR) is one of the nation’s largest local government executive search firms, dedicated to helping local governments succeed by recruiting, assessing, and developing innovative, collaborative, and authentic leaders. SGR’s primary services include executive recruitment, interim management placements, candidate and employee assessments, live and online training, executive coaching, executive team development, governing body workshops, and strategic foresight for local governments.

    SGR is seeking a President, Executive Recruitment to join our innovative and dynamic team.

    The President of Executive Recruitment will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of local government leadership. This position requires a visionary leader aligned with SGR’s commitment to servant leadership and innovation—ensuring recruitment strategies meet client needs while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. As a key leader on SGR’s executive leadership team, this role reports directly to CEO Darin Atteberry.

    The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative servant leader with exceptional communication and leadership skills. They thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and innovation are embedded in daily operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Policy & Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in local government leadership or human resources, particularly in talent acquisition, recruitment and selection, and employment branding.
    • At least two (2) years of executive-level leadership experience.
    • Equivalent combinations of experience, education, and training may be considered.

    Work Environment:
    SGR is a 100% remote work company, requiring team members to maintain reliable internet connectivity and a functional workspace. SGR provides the necessary technology and equipment to support work operations. Team members communicate frequently throughout the day to ensure excellence in client service. Occasional in-person meetings and special events, such as conferences, should be anticipated. Candidates must reside in the Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones within the United States.
