    The Personnel Department is seeking to fill two (2) Personnel Records Supervisor position in the Client Services Group. The Personnel Records Supervisor position in Client Services I serves as a liaison to the Department of Animal Services and the position in Client Services III serves as a liaison to the following departments: Department of Aging (Aging), Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS).

    • Process Form 41 utilizing Workday for processing.
    • Process Neogov requests and handle interview processes.
    • Data entry and retrieval of information using a variety of computer software and systems.
    • Supervise, train and develop clerical support staff.
    • Maintain confidential files and coordinate records retention via Viatron.
    • Problem solving through knowledge and research utilizing department rules, civil service rules, employee benefits and MOU provisions in order to provide assistance via telephone or in person from staff and public.
    • Provide assistance with internal reports and database management as needed.


    This position demands a high level of proficiency with computer systems and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The role also demands sound judgment and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

    Minimum Requirements :
    Two years of full-time paid office clerical experience in a class at least at the level of Senior Administrative Clerk. Supervising experience is highly desired. How to Apply :

    Emergency Appointment

    An emergency appointment is not a regular appointment. It is a temporary appointment which does not require that you successfully compete in the Civil Service examination process. The appointment may not exceed one year and must be terminated immediately when a regular appointment can be made from an eligible list. No emergency appointment can exceed one year. (City Charter Section 1013).
