    THE POSITION
    Come join the hardworking and fun staff at the Town of Prescott Valley! Ensure the safety of the citizens as they enjoy the pool and splash pad at Mountain Valley Splash.

    Examples of Duties

    In this position you will:
    • Supervise and provide direct supervision to Swim Instructor employees. Assign teaching duties.
    • Schedule swim lesson staff and ensure adequate coverage at all times, including teaching swim lessons in emergency situation.
    • Oversee all swim lessons according to a prescribed curriculum. Evaluate program participants for swimming skill level.
    • Respond to public inquiries regarding aquatic program.
    • Communicate and enforce all recreational and pool policies and rules in a personable and reasonable manner.
    • Maintain swim lesson records and statistics.
    • Be knowledgeable of and perform first aid.


    Typical Qualification

    Need to have/be:
    • Must be able to pass the general life guarding requirement before being considered for employment.
    • Candidates may be required to pass a background check and must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
    • Must be at least 16 years of age
    • This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug screening.

    **Interviews will be scheduled once applications have been accepted.**

    Compensation:

    This is a seasonal position that may work up to 6 months depending on the workload and performance.

    Hourly pay range is $16.54 to $17.37 per hour. Seasonal employees are entitled to earn paid time off and accrue a minimum of 1 hour of general leave for every 30 hours worked.
