- Supervising clients directly and ensuring compliance with program rules.
- Conducting orientations for new clients to explain facility and program procedures.
- Monitoring client living and work areas, supervising meal services, and assigning work tasks.
- Ensuring facility safety and security by controlling contraband and conducting searches of clients and living areas.
- Maintaining client accountability through formal counts, check-ins, phone or on-site verifications, and random activity monitoring.
- Collaborating with community agencies, employers, and other groups to support client employment, work projects, or community service commitments.

- Two (2) years of higher education or any combination of education, training, or experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.

www.larimer.org/hr/benefitsSupplemental InformationSuccessful candidates will work with CJA at either the Alternative Sentencing Department or Community Corrections Department to supervise clients as they complete court-ordered custody or alternative jail programs. Tasks in this role vary based upon assignment but can include supervision of clients in a halfway house or work release facility, supervision of off-site work crews, monitoring client living areas, monitoring and dispensing medication, and numerous other tasks. Work in either Department will involve directly working with the people under our supervision.
This is a divisional posting for the Community Justice Specialist position, which will be used to fill any current vacancies and create an eligibility list for future vacancies. The eligibility list will be utilized as positions within the Larimer County Community Corrections Department and the Larimer County Alternative Sentencing Department become available.
