    The City of Palo Alto, the “Birthplace of Silicon Valley,” is a charming mixture of old and new.     The City is seeking a seasoned public sector manager who has solid technical skills in California transportation management; a thorough knowledge of local transportation issues; strong project management skills; and an aptitude for, and understanding of, organizational dynamics and management. To qualify, you should possess six years of demonstrated professional level with at least two years of supervisory or management experience and a BA in Civil Engineering or urban / city planning. A MA is desirable and equivalent to two years of non-supervisory experience. License as a registered Civil and/or Traffic Engineer from the State of California is desirable. For full JD click here .

    The annual salary range: $165,276.80 - $247,915.20, depending on qualifications and experience. The City offers an outstanding benefits package that includes generous health insurance contributions and paid leave program, commuter benefits, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and up to $10,000 childcare assistance. City employees can also apply for their children to attend the award-winning Palo Alto Unified District Schools.
