    Minimum Qualifications
    Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
    • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to Criminal Justice or Business Administration plus two (2) years of relevant work experience, one (1) of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity.
    • Experience may substitute for education up to the maximum of four (4) years.

    If selected as top candidate for this position you must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems ( CJIS ) fingerprint-based background check to be hired and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions.

    Skills assessments may be used to determine selection for interview process after initial applicant review.

    This position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSF ) Program. This program is a federal program that is intended to encourage individuals to work in public service by forgiving the balance of their federal student loans.
    Pay Range
    $27.41 - $33.30 per hour

    • Monday-Friday
    • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • Occasional evening, weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.

    Preferred Experience:
    • Experience working in a court setting.
    • Experience providing customer services to a variety of individuals, including individuals experiencing homelessness.
    • Experience managing change.
    • Experience utilizing an electronic court case management system.
    • Experience managing a small workgroup, including employee development and training activities.
    Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
    Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
    Designs and implements systems and procedures to ensure uniform record maintenance, system updating, and quality control. Provides information/data to court staff and the public. Researches special issues concerning court processes and procedures and make recommendations to management. Develops and monitors unit budget. Participates in strategic and long-range planning. Compiles statistical and financial information. Prepares bank deposit, research and resolve discrepancies. Coordinates unit procedures/policy with other court units.

    • Responsible for the full range of supervisor activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for dismissal.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
    • Knowledge of law and legal principles and practices relevant to Municipal Court.
    • Knowledge of criminal enforcement proceedings.
    • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws.
    • Knowledge of city practices, policy and procedures.
    • Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation.
    • Knowledge of supervisory and managerial techniques and principles.
    • Skill in oral and written communication.
    • Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.
    • Skill in using computers and related software.
    • Skill in data analysis and problem solving.
    • Skill in planning and organizing.
    • Ability to interpret policies and guidelines as they relate to municipal government.
    • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other city employees and the public.
    • Ability to exercise discretion in confidential matters.

    City Government
