This position will be located at Lake of the Ozarks State Park 403 Highway 134 Kaiser, MO. Shift is Monday through Friday 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. (1/2-hour lunch break). Shifts may vary with the time of year and in order to meet the needs of the facility. This position may require working weekends, might, holidays, and special events.
- Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship, and repair of state buildings and facilities.
- Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities, grounds, and cemeteries.
- Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites, and park grounds.
- Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles, as well as tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment.
- Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loader, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers, and similar mechanical equipment.
- Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, herbicide application, and other natural or cultural activities as directed with the completion of Level 1 Prescribed Fire training.
- May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
As a special requirement, this position is required to obtain and maintain Missouri Propane Safety Commission Training and MDC Level 1 Fire Training . If you do not currently possess this license/certification, you will be given six months from the first day of employment to obtain necessary license/certification. (or 12 months if two)
This position may be required to obtain and maintain appropriate commercial operator’s license, water/wastewater certifications, and/or other required licenses/certification. If required and if you do not currently possess this license/certification, you will be given six months to obtain necessary license/certification.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
