Department of Behavioral Health is offering an exceptional career opportunity to an outstanding professional interested in serving as an
Executive Assistant.
The Executive Assistant will serve as a personal assistant to the Director of Behavioral Health and perform administrative support functions. The incumbent may oversee administrative support, business, or personnel support functions within the department including research and analysis, project oversight, and coordinating the department's billing, accounting, purchasing, personnel/payroll, and budget preparation functions on behalf of the Director of Behavioral Health.

Positions in this classification are in Medical Group I - Light Physical Activity (Personnel Rule 8). This group includes positions which require only light physical effort and may include lifting of small, light objects and some bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching. Considerable walking or standing may be involved.

OPTION 1 : Education : Possession of a bachelor's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system.
OPTION 2 : Experience : Four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience equivalent to that gained as an Administrative Assistant with the County of Fresno.
The following information is in addition to the options listed above: Other : Ability to type sixty-five (65) net words per minute may be required.
License : Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
Notes : Recruitments for this position will be conducted as a suspension of competition pursuant to Personnel Rule 4310.4.
Incumbents may be required to obtain and maintain Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance as a condition of employment.
