    Minimum Qualifications
    Engineer A:
    Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years of engineering experience acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.

    Licenses and Certifications Required:
    Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.

    Engineer B:
    Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to engineering, plus six (6) years of experience in engineering acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.

    Licenses and Certifications Required:
    Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.

    Engineer C:
    Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus eight (8) years of engineering experience acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.

    Licenses or Certifications:

    Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.
    Notes to Applicants
    The Engineer will work for the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department, Arterial Management Division. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing signal and transportation engineering solutions to improve mobility for all modes of transportation - pedestrian, bicyclists, transit users and motorists. This role will focus on the configuration, activation, modification, and timing of traffic signals requiring significant fieldwork. This position will require flexibility in work hours particularly during peak traffic times and special events.

    Salary Range:
    Engineer A: $39.49 - $51.34
    Engineer B: $42.26 - $54.94
    Engineer C: $45.22 - $58.78

    City Government
