    Annual Salary: $139,130 to $186,447 DOQ

    How You Will Make an Impact:

    SCCHA is seeking to hire two (2) experienced and passionate Housing Programs Managers to lead and oversee critical housing programs and initiatives that directly impact our community. This is your chance to work with a forward-thinking agency and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Santa Clara County residents by improving access to affordable, safe, and secure housing. We are proud to be a Move to Work Agency (MTW) that is federally funded, but locally designed. We help by offering a variety of projects and programs including administration of Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) along with other Housing Assistance Programs including but not limited to the Foster Youth Initiative (FYI), Family Reunification Program (FUP), Mod Rehab, Mainstream Non-elderly with Disabilities, Enhanced Vouchers, Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), County and City Voucher programs, and any future housing assistance programs that may be developed or implemented.

    In this high-impact role, you’ll:
    • Forward Thinker and Strategizer: Plan, direct, and coordinate housing programs to align with SCCHA’s mission and goals. Implement innovative strategies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
    • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous growth.
    • Budget Management: Contribute to the development and management of the division’s annual budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
    • Community Impact: Collaborate with community stakeholders, conduct outreach efforts, and lead workshops to educate the public on SCCHA’s housing programs.
    • Ensure Compliance: Manage quality control, audits, and compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations, including programs like HUD's Voucher Management System and Public and Indian Housing databases.
    • Innovate and Improve: Continuously monitor program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and customer service.

    Qualifications You’ll Bring:

    A combination of education and experience such as:

    Education: A bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or a closely related field.

    Experience: At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administering housing or social service programs, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

    Skills and Competencies:
    • Advanced knowledge of federal and state housing regulations.
    • Strategic leadership, team building, and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and management skills and abilities.
    • Proficiency in program evaluation, policy development, and data analysis.
