    Coordinator - Admissions Coach

    Position Description
    Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.


    Major/Essential Functions
    • Transcript Evaluation: Review and assess incoming transcripts for applicants to determine and officially record equivalent transfer credits for both non-nursing prerequisite courses and Texas Core Curriculum requirements, in accordance with TTUHSC policies and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board guidelines.

      • Performance Standard: Complete all evaluations accurately within 2 weeks of all transcripts being received.
    • Advising: Provide accurate and timely advising to prospective students for all nursing programs, through Zoom, phone, or in-person sessions, to guide them through the admissions process and academic requirements.

      • Performance Standard: Offer a minimum of 12 individual advising sessions per week with satisfaction goal of 90%.
    • Campus Tours: Lead informative tours of the TTUHSC Lubbock campus, including the SimLife Center, for prospective students as requested.

    • Ongoing Communication: Maintain consistent communication with prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions process via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

      • Performance Standard: Respond to all emails/calls within 2 business days.
    • Application Support: Assist Admissions Coordinators and the Director of Admissions with processing applications, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

      • Performance Standard: Assist team as needed and respond to all requests for assistance within 1 business day.
    • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate, up-to-date records for all applicants are maintained in the admissions database.

    • Culture Alignment: Embody and promote TTUHSC's Values-Based Culture in all interactions with students, staff, and faculty.

      • Performance Standard: Score a minimum of Meets Expectations on all TTUHSC values in annual performance review.
    • Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to student assistants, as needed, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

      • Performance Standard: Provide supervision as needed when Section Coordinators and Director of Admissions are not available.
    • Presentations: Deliver clear and engaging presentations about the admissions process and nursing programs to both small and large groups, as requested.

    Required Qualifications
    High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.
