    Job Announcement

    The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Real Estate Program Coordinator (Right of Way). The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Who we are
    The Capital Improvements Division of the Public Works & Utilities Department is one of six American Public Works Association (APWA) Accredited agencies in the State and one of a few ADOT Certified Agencies for the administration of design and construction for State and Federally grant funded transportation projects. This division is responsible for the management and coordination of the orderly design and construction of the City's capital infrastructure in the Capital Improvement Program, including procurement of professional services, design, construction and construction management for transportation, utilities, public buildings, community services and other general government improvements.

    Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to perform professional real estate transactions and other real estate duties for City-wide needs in the development of capital and non-capital projects.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • A Bachelor's Degree in real estate or related field; and
    • 4 years of experience in the acquisition of land for public works projects and large capital projects for a government agency; and
    • A Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

    Desired Qualifications
    • Knowledge of the Uniform Act; and
    • Ability to read and understand appraisals, construction plans, legal descriptions, surveys, contracts, and title commitments.
    • SR/WA Credentials from the International Right of Way Association is desired but not required.

    This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

    The City of Chandler will conduct a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.

These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city's Drug Free Workplace Policy. Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. The examination process may vary if determined necessary.
