    Position Description
    Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees. A thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and methods for the area of responsibility is required. Initiative and independent judgments are frequently exercised in formulating procedures or methods, and in program coordination. Work is performed under general supervision within University policies and procedures. Job performance is based upon overall operation effectiveness.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Assists with new staff employment recruitment including screening, scheduling, and preparing for interviews.
    • Assists with monitoring the recruitment site for new applications and preparing for review and scoring.
    • Assist with the instruction and training of new employees in the understanding of TTUHSC, TTUS, and Division policies and procedures.
    • Assist with the monitoring the training needs of staff, ensuring staff are properly trained in mandatory matters including EEO, HIPAA, Title IX, FERPA, IT.
    • Security and compliance training and confirming the training is complete.
    • Assist with processing forms for the department, including ePAFs, EOPS, Requests for New Positions, Reclassification Requests, Manual Check Requests, Leave of Absence Requests, and other forms as needed.
    • Filing, imaging, and photocopying as necessary to maintain position's work flow.
    • Completes special assignments with latitude to exercise independent judgment. Assists with planning and implementation, as required.
    • Provides assistance to all functions of the institute, as needed.


    Required Qualifications
    Proficiency in written and mathematical processes as may be reflected by the completion of high school or the equivalent. Two years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal two years may substitute on a year for year basis.
