RolePerforms professional accounting/auditing work of moderate to significant difficulty in the analysis of financial aspects of the department’s records and systems to ensure a secure financial environment.
Ideal candidate will have the following preferred banking experience:
- Processing deposits, payments and withdrawals
- Authorizing and evaluating overdrafts and loans
- Resolving debit and credit issues
- Managing accounts and overseeing transactions
Major Duties, Responsibilities- Conducts research and compiles and analyzes data using Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and other analysis techniques as developed for specific documentation. Generates reports and makes recommendations to the department.
- Performs administrative functions, including compilation, analysis, and report of statistical data. Reviews to ensure the completeness of audit activity, both overall and specific and records management.
- Develops procedures and policies for department approval and coordinate activities with the Finance Department.
- Plans, organizes, develops, and trains assigned staff.
- Oversees the work activities of assigned staff, problem-solves, and acts as a resource and ensures consistency and quality of services provided.
- Prepares work priorities, schedules, and routines.
- Expedites workflow, reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to established policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of accounting and/or auditing experience to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Complete annual training as required by the principles and practices of accounting and auditing (GAAP and GAAS).

Work Environment:The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
