    THE POSITION
    We invite you to join our high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley to oversee and execute a Town-wide Emergency Management program within the Town Manager's office, as the Emergency Manager. We are seeking a dynamic & experienced individual to lead the Emergency Management program ensuring the Town is well-prepared and resilient in the face of any emergency.     Examples of Duties

    In this position you will:
    • Serve on scene during emergencies, making sure all aspects of the Emergency plan are followed.
    • Develop, manage, and conduct regular Town-wide emergency training for preparedness, informational and compliance purposes.
    • Serve as the Town's liaison on emergency preparedness issues with applicable Federal, State, County and regional governmental and non-governmental agencies including school districts.
    • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Emergency Management program of the grants, contracts, and Emergency Management section.
    • Administer and manage contracts related to the emergency management program.
    • Administer the process for submitting Federal and State reimbursement claims for the Town's costs during and after emergency operations. Interpret Federal and State funding regulations as they impact the Town.
    • Facilitate training to staff, volunteers and the citizens on emergency preparedness programs and initiatives; coordinate and assist with emergency management training and exercises; organize and conduct emergency management drills.


    Typical Qualification

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Management or related field and four (4) years of experience with Emergency Management Administration. A combination of education and relevant professional experience may be substituted for the minimum required qualifications.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including driving record.
    • Must be able to maintain/obtain the following National Incident Management System (NIMS) certifications within timeframe designated by the Town:
    • IS100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
    • IS200: ICS for Single resources
    • IS700: National Incident Management System
    • IS800: National Response Framework
    • IS2200: Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certified Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).

    Compensation:
    The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high performance culture. The Town package includes a no-cost to individual health insurance plan and a generous retirement package including participation in the Arizona State Retirement System.
    The salary range is $77,542 to $108,555.
    The expected hiring range is $77,542 to $89,169.
