    The Recreation Leader II completes work supporting a diverse range of programs and work environments and helps adults and children with special needs enjoy a variety of recreational programs that are vital to their health, sense o f community, and well-being . This position is part of a two-level career progression of Recreation Leader I and II.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assists with coaching specialized adult sports for special needs adults that have a large range of ability levels; provides support with trips and tours for adults and teens; performs a variety of work tasks under indirect supervision.
    • E ffectively communicates with participants, co-workers, and supervisors ; d emonstrates excellent customer service ; f ollows all City policies and procedures .
    • Demonstrates commitment to service, integrity, accountability, and welcoming attitude when supporting recreation activities for people with disabilities ; participates with groups and provides a wide range of support for participants during program activities.


    Qualifications

    Experience: Two years of experience working in the recreation industry or other relevant area is required . M ust be 18 years of age or older .

    Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required .

    Licenses & Certifications: None required.
