Salary Range: $22.52-$33.78/hour

Responsibilities
The City of Kansas City's Benefits team is looking for a dedicated and engaging new addition to our team as we reach our fellow coworkers and deliver benefit education as well as assist the employees of the City of Kansas City with their employee benefits. In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and distributing new employee onboarding packets.
- Processing new hires in PeopleSoft, managing benefit events, and ensuring timely closures.
- Verifying the accuracy of all benefits-related documents and systematically inputting data.
- Handling inbound calls and assisting employees in-person with benefit-related inquiries or concerns.
- Conducting weekly and monthly audits and quality assurance checks of benefit data.
- Managing all communications sent to the Benefits email inbox and processing physical mail.
- Assisting with the annual Open Enrollment process and performing additional duties as assigned.
This role is highly customer-focused and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management, strong interpersonal communication skills, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an
accredited Bachelor's degree.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior Benefits Administrator, knowledge of Peoplesoft, and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel Other Information

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
