Job Description Position Summary The purpose of this position is to support the administrative needs of Immunization Services by providing high quality data entry, scanning, spreadsheet reconciliation and other clerical support to the program’s vaccine exemption processing, Oklahoma State Immunization Information System (OSIIS) data quality and other vaccine related support projects.
This position will require the selected candidate(s) to work in-person at OSDH Central Office. This position is also a temporary position with Immunization Services with the term ending on June 30, 2025.
Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions - Processes Certificate of Vaccination Exemption requests received by the department through opening mailed in forms, scanning, data entry, label creation and mailing out completed forms
- Support the oversight of exemption processing through maintaining tracking and processing information in various spreadsheets and internal forms
- Works with Mail Services on the pick-up and mailing out of vaccine exemptions
- Complete data entry of approved exemption requests into the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System (OSIIS)
- Provide additional clerical and data entry support to other areas of the Immunization Services program as assigned
- Support the rollout of the new online exemption submission portal through continued monitoring of submissions and troubleshooting technical is sues as needed.
Education and ExperienceRequirements consist of five years of technical clerical office work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valued Knowledge, skills and abilitiesRequirements include knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and business English; of business mathematics; of modern office methods and procedures; of the maintenance of complex records; and of the major policies and procedures governing assigned programs. Ability is required to maintain effective working relationships with others; to handle confidential work; to interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with agency policy; and to follow oral and written instructions. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentCombination of office, vehicle, and public establishments. Travel may include traveling during inclement weather. Perform varied activities including sitting, walking, stooping, lifting, bending, pushing, and reaching. Ability to drive for hours at a time.
