    Summary

    Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreations Lead is responsible for performing the following.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plans, implements, coordinates, promotes and evaluates recreation, aquatic and cultural activities.
    • Provides assistance in coordinating recreation and/or other special events hosted by the city.
    • Builds relationships with vendors, contractors, and instructors to ensure successful programming and participation.
    • Provides customer service and responds to routine inquiries regarding the city’s recreation and park facilities, services, and programs.
    • Assists with programs and events by registering patrons for recreation classes and events; monitors recreation and aquatic activities; setting up equipment or supplies, completing clean-up activities, and checking out and ensuring equipment is returned.
    • Processes participant registration for various types of recreation classes and activities to include receiving and processing fees.
    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience

    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license
    • May be required to obtain CDL with passenger endorsement
    • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
    • Group Ex Certification
    • Personal Training Certification
    • First Aid CPR
    • Swim Instructor Certification
