Home - Solano County Library (solanolibrary.com) Essential DutiesTHE POSITIONThis is the paraprofessional class responsible for a variety of library duties. Under general supervision incumbents perform library operations following procedures and policy and gain public reference, programming, and/or material selection experience. Assignment can be made to: 1) reference and reader’s advisory services; 2) collection development; 3) adult and youth services and 4) acquisitions and copy cataloging of library materials.
The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill extra-help positions only as vacancies occur or the need arises.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in humanities, social science, education or natural science.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California driver’s license may be required.
