  • Job Description

    Position Summary:

    This position serves as the first contact point for the public at the Community Center. Position is responsible for providing guest service, cashier duties, and knowledge of all programs and amenities while working the front desk at the Community Center.

    Essential Functions:

    • Demonstrate strong customer service skills while meeting and serving the public effectively.
    • Process daily sales, payments, and credits for memberships and activity registrations and cancellations.
    • Actively engage with members and guests in a positive manner.
    • Enforce facility rules, policies, and safety guidelines.
    • Refer visitors to appropriate information, personnel, and resources.
    • Complete daily tasks including, maintaining various files, and other record keeping functions.
    • Receives and directs phone calls.
    • Perform multiple tasks in an active environment, use good judgment, and take initiative.

    • Must complete City Americans with Disabilities Act training module 1 within first (30) days of employment.


    Education, Training & Certifications:

    Necessary:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • CPR and first aid must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
    • Knowledge of Windows based applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
    • Ability to work nights and weekends.


    Desired:

    • Previous experience in customer service.
    • Knowledge of Time Clock Plus and RecTrac systems.
