Full-time position available with the Parks & Recreation Department, Finance Division located at 4600 E. 63rd St.
Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/Month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Oversees contract compliance for all divisions in the department.
- Prepares requests for MBE/WBE goals, SLBE requests, contractor utilization plans, and requests for modifications to submit to the Civil Rights Department for approval.
- Works closely with project managers to prepare contracts, ensuring current and updated forms are used and that current wage rates are applied.
- Handles request for proposal for department agreements, from initial stage to execution.
- Researches the history of department agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepares notice to proceed and tax exemption documents.
- Maintains electronic records retention and final distribution of executed contracts.
- Advertises and manages the bidding process for department projects.
- Prepares construction award books.
- Prepares purchase order encumbrances for contracts, verify accounts, vendor codes, and funding availability.
- Processes documentation in e-Builder and PeopleSoft.
- Verifies accounts, supplier vendor codes, and fund availability, taking action to set up suppliers and notifications of any funding issues.
- Prepares and monitors encroachment agreements and annual café licenses.
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.
Preference given for prior work in contract administration and working knowledge of Kansas City's MBE/WBE/DBE/SLBE requirements. Other Information

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
