Job Description

The Web Content Coordinator is the creative force behind the TEEX online presence, with responsibilities spanning website content management, front-end development, and performance monitoring. With a focus on content, collaborates across teams to ensure our online messaging aligns with our business goals, maintaining clarity, consistency, and SEO optimization. Curates an engaging and audience-focused voice, while also overseeing website design and functionality, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices. Leveraging reporting tools, monitors performance metrics and user feedback to drive iterative improvements, while also championing web design standards agency-wide.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of Program Coordination or related experience.


Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in content management.
  • Three years of experience in front-end design.
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance.
  • Experience in SEO.

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Notifications:

  • This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
  • This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TEEX regulations and procedures.
  • All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and Agency safety requirements.
  • As part of TEEX’s mission of providing training, developing practical solutions, and saving lives; this position could be required, if called upon, to deploy within the State of Texas as directed by this position’s Division Director/HQ Department Head.
  • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle and/or flying on commercial airlines.


Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

Website Content - 70%
  • Assists the team in building content.
  • Collaborates with various teams to align content with business goals.
  • Ensures content is clear, concise, and adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Optimizes content for SEO to enhance online visibility.
  • Conducts regular content audits for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
  • Maintains a consistent, engaging, audience-focused voice across all channels.
  • Verifies content is appropriate, factually accurate, and grammatically correct.
  • Contributes to cross-departmental/divisional projects and initiatives.
  • Communicates regularly with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing feedback.
  • Provides website training for stakeholders needing editing permissions.


Website Front-End Design - 25%
  • Oversees internal and external website design.
  • Coordinates with web developers to implement new features, designs, and functionalities.
  • Collaborates with marketing teams for new product/promotional events and content creation.
  • Creates and optimizes graphic elements for web use, enhancing overall aesthetic and functionality.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team on visual assets for promotional campaigns.
  • Develops wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs aligning with brand guidelines and user experience principles.
  • Ensures web content is accessible to all users, adhering to web accessibility standards.
  • Ensures responsive and optimized designs for various devices; stay updated on the latest web trends and technologies.


Reporting and Monitoring - 5%
  • Uses site monitoring tools to track accessibility issues and resolve them.
  • Generates regular reports on KPIs to optimize content and user engagement.
  • Conducts user research and usability testing for iterative improvements.
  • Monitors all public-facing agency websites.
  • Establishes and promotes web design guidelines and standards agency-wide.
