Position Description
The Community Liaison is responsible for developing key relationships in an assigned community that will assist the university in meeting its fundraising, programming and community awareness goals by conducting programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)

Major/Essential Functions
Administrative
  • Manage complex projects and divisional programs, including administrative tasks such as budget preparation, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, and presentations, and analyze program data to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
  • Evaluate and enhance administrative systems to improve efficiency, and lead team meetings to provide updates on initiatives.
  • Assess team performance, provide training and professional development opportunities, and support applications for awards and recognition.

Engagement & Support
  • Foster partnerships with community providers and stakeholders, serving as a resource for outreach programs and collaboration opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with community stakeholders, serving as a liaison for joint projects and initiatives.
  • Review projects and other initiatives to assess feasibility of collaborations, make recommendations and connections between internal and external collaborators to increase competitiveness for external funding and/or other division metrics.
  • Act as a liaison between TTUHSC and external stakeholders, advocating for TTMHI initiatives and supporting university-wide collaborations.
  • Communicate community engagement opportunities to TTUHSC leadership and facilitate conflict resolution sessions as needed.
  • Assist in the development and execution of new initiatives and collaborations between internal and external partners.
  • Represent TTMHI at various events and meetings, both internally and externally, and actively participate in university committees and advisory groups.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to equal seven years.
