General Description and Classification Standards: Issues identification badges for all employees of an assigned department in accordance with policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: deactivating and recovering ID badges of terminated employees or contractors; accounting for ID badges and storage at all times; assisting in the semi- annual audit of ID badges; performing routine to complex clerical and administrative duties in the ID badge office; and processing requests for tours or visits of secure areas.
Supervision Received: Works under very general supervision. May work independently or with other skilled or semi-skilled workers with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public or business administration or a related field.
3-5 years of progressively responsible security or law enforcement experience is required; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
Preferred Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public or business administration or a related field and 5-8 years' of progressively responsible security or law enforcement experience is preferred.
Licensures and Certifications: None required.
