Job Description

Job Description and Duties

The candidate will independently compose Scopes of Work for solicitation packages and contracts for the California Criminalistics Institute (CCI). Compose contract advertising and solicitation packages (including invitations for bid, requests for proposal, and certified small business informal price quotes), exemptions from advertising requests and justifications, contract amendments, and contract renewals. Review and request modifications if necessary to the following: Agreement/Summary forms, Non-Competitive Bid Contract Justifications, Consultant Resumes, Consultant Checklists, STD. 209s, and Service Authorizations. Develop and prepare monthly reports on the status of CCI' s contracts and proposals. Ordering equipment and supplies, charging these to the proper program or cost code and ensuring that the purchase amounts are within the delegated authority. Define needs, verify or prepare the appropriate procurement documents and justifications when needed, responsible for receiving and recording the receipt of supplies and equipment and assuring payment for those items. Prepare the unit's monthly budget report for submission to BFS HQ. Follow departmental rules for all Cal-Card purchases and submit required statements in a timely fashion.
