The City of Irvine's Disability Services section offers monthly recreational activities and
provides temporary 1:1 accommodations for persons with disabilities. This is an excellent
opportunity for an individual skilled in coordinating programs and services who wants a chance to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. This position is Extended Part time: 32 hours/week.

Your Impact:
- Schedule and coordinate assignments of part-time staff for programs, events, and off-site 1:1 accommodations for participants of the City's Community Services programs and events.
- Plan and implement monthly Disability Services special events and programs, such as recreation classes, yoga, adaptive dance, bowling, dances, movies, and excursions, while ensuring the safety of all participants.
- Recruit, coordinate, and train part-time staff and volunteers.
- Process registrations and payments for activities and events, maintain rosters, and manage supplies.
- Input and track information using the City's computerized system, online work schedule, and email correspondence.
- Compile and distribute statistical information regarding assessments, accommodations, and participation.
- Provide resource and referral information and maintain the Disability Services Resource and Referral Library.
- Communicate professionally and clearly over the phone and in person when providing information on programs and services.
- Provide administrative support including board and committee support, word processing, mailings, spreadsheets, room reservations, and proofreading marketing materials for accuracy.
- HOURS: 32 hours per week; shifts will be scheduled weekdays with some evenings and weekends required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of college level coursework with an emphasis in Special Education, Human Services, or a related field and three years of related experience, or any combination that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Prior to employment, applicants must possess a valid California Driver's License and proof of current negative Tuberculin test within the past year. First Aid and CPR certificate is required within three months of employment.

- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
