Position OverviewThe City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration-for-hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Intern - Economic Development and Tourism in the Department of Economic Development and Tourism. The consideration-for-hire list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of functions to provide hands-on experience in fostering economic growth through various projects and initiatives aimed at business attraction, business retention, and community outreach; performs assigned duties as required.
Special Note: - This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible position
- Work schedule will consist of an average of 19 hours/week; hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department need
- This position does not qualify for employer-paid benefits, wage increases, or union representation

Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from high school or the equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in Economics, Real Estate, Public Administration, Business, or a closely related field
