The Community Center Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the community center under the supervision of the Community Center Manager, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors and providing high levels of customer service delivery to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises the daily activities of the community center including monitoring facility usage and ensuring facility cleanliness and maintenance standards are met and are compliant with local health and safety guidelines.
  • Assists in the execution of community events and recreational programs; collaborates with other staff members and external clients ensuring event spaces are prepared and equipped according to their needs.
  • Supports a team of fitness, aquatics, customer service, and other staff members, ensuring members, guests, and staff in each area are adhering to facility guidelines; implements and enforces policies to enhance the safety and security of staff and visitors.
  • Utilizes registration software system to process and reconcile transactions ensuring accuracy and promptness; facilitates a positive experience for visitors by maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests, promptly and professionally addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback; handles and resolves conflicts or complaints in a timely and effective manner; responds to emergencies and follows appropriate emergency procedures.


Qualifications

Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a community recreation center, fitness facility, or similar environment is preferred. Must have a strong understanding of facility operations, safety protocols, and customer service principles along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to collaborate within a diverse team.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or certifications in facility management or related fields is preferred

Licenses & Certifications: Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, or the ability to obtain within the first 30 days.
