Hours of work are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Days off are Saturday and Sunday (this position may be required to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the need of the food service operation and/or the needs of the facility).
This is a seasoned managerial position responsible for:
Planning, directing and assisting with the food service program; directing the implementation and monitoring of menu cycle, and individual special patient menus; controlling a budget, oversite of food costs, conducting food cost analysis; supervising Chief Clinical Dietician and Food Service Manager who in turn supervise subordinate staff; recruiting, hiring, supervising and evaluating food service staff (including food service helpers, cooks, drivers); oversite and development of training for food services production staff (FHS utilizes the Dinex Food Service Tray system); ensuring compliance with food service policies, rules, laws and regulations; assure compliance with applicable TJC and CMS regulations and standards; developing and maintaining policies for food preparation, storage, sanitation and safety; Coordinating and providing oversight of interns and dietetic student program activities in clinical nutrition.
Knowledge and experience in nutrition information systems (CBORD) to provide daily technical support with menus, traits, diet compliancy’s, food ordering, inventory and reports.
Additionally, a key role for Director of Dietetic Services will be to assist in the dietary Robust Process Improvement project (RPI) which reviews data related to prep and food delivery processes to ensure consistency and a high-quality final product. A successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to embrace the mission, vision and values of both Fulton State Hospital and the Department of Mental Health.
All you need for success: Preferred Qualifications - 5-7 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed)
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience (substitutions may be allowed)
- Knowledge of facility practices, rules, and regulations
