The School of Nursing at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for a tenure-track open-rank position (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) in the Nurse Midwifery-Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program, with an appointment beginning in August 2025.

We invite faculty members with certification as a Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, with the women’s health experience and specialization, in both graduate and undergraduate education, and the ability to support students' scholarly culminating work, to apply for the position.

California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) is a minority-serving institution, affirmative action, and equal opportunity employer. CSUF is firmly committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community and the curriculum and fostering an inclusive environment within which students, staff, administrators, and faculty thrive. Candidates who can contribute to this goal through their teaching, research, advising and other activities are encouraged to identify their strengths and experiences. Individuals advancing the University’s strategic diversity goals and those from groups whose underrepresentation in the American professoriate has been severe and longstanding are particularly encouraged to apply.

The School of Nursing (SON) is a distinguished entity within the College of Health and Human Development, one of eight academic programs. For nearly fifty years, the SON has been at the forefront of advancing nursing education in Southern California. Our comprehensive programs include entry-level (pre-licensure), RN-BSN, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees. Notably, we host the only Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner/Nurse-Midwifery program in Southern California and offer a specialized School Nursing Credentialing program. Our graduates make significant contributions to the local community, the state of California, and beyond, serving in academic institutions, school districts, and departments of public health.
