Job Description

The Executive Assistant I position directly supports the Assistant General Manager - Operations . This is a critical position that will require you to manage information of a sensitive, highly confidential and detailed-oriented nature. Key responsibilities will include scheduling and maintaining demanding meeting calendars; compiling meeting materials; coordinating travel arrangements; prioritizing and handling all incoming information; initiating follow-ups on projects/tasks to ensure deadlines are met; preparing email correspondence to staff, Board of Directors, Member Agency Managers and others; distributing department information and informing the Executive Managers of all pending activities; recommending innovative solutions and responding to inquiries including providing explanations to policies and procedures.

This position requires a dynamic, self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and organized person that can carry out multiple projects simultaneously while exercising independent judgment. The ideal candidate will have a record of demonstrating the highest level of ethics and integrity and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience; or three years in a MWD Administrative Assistant III classification

Relevant Experience is defined as: combination of administrative work experience and providing support/assistance to a similar level executive.

This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications, licensing, and registrations:

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
