Job Description and Duties

Under close supervision and in a learner capacity, the Student Assistant will assist the Statewide Investigative Networking System (SINS) Program Support in the performance of a variety of application testing and support tasks. The student will become knowledgeable of the CURES Applications quality assurance and testing process, Client Services support process, and inventory and maintenance functions. The incumbent will perform other related work, commensurate to skill level.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered Remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

  • This position is located in the Application Developement Bureau, DLE, Biometrics & PDMP Systems Branch, Solutions Development Services Section, SINS Program Support Unit.
  • This position will be filled as a TAU, non-tenured intermittent appointment.

  • A fingerprint check is required.
  • You must be currently enrolled in at least six (6) semester units of the equivalent of college courses, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Official transcripts will be required prior to employment and after completion of each semester thereafter.
