Position Summary:
The Oracle Applications Business Analyst is primarily responsible for working with the business users in understanding business automation needs, gathering requirements and documenting requirements via functional specifications, develop test plans, and producing the result. Ensure business process and system configurations are optimized and streamlined.
The ideal candidate should have a strong techno background in Oracle Financials, with experience working on Accounting/Finance projects. Someone who has worked on major Oracle implementations, eliciting requirements from stakeholders, analyzing the requirements, documenting them in BRDs (business requirements documents). You will partner with stakeholders on ensuring the solution fits the business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the individual efforts of multiple projects and provide solutions to more complex issues
- Identify gaps and areas of improvement where we can leverage Oracle functionality that did not exist in previous systems
- Research workarounds, which may include process changes
- Responsible for troubleshooting defects and solutioning complex business requirements in Oracle Applications footprint
- Act as liaison between functional users and development team
- Be the central point of contact for functional questions and coordination such as functional specification documentation, defects and other questions
- Collaborate with the functional team to design and build solutions to business problems by utilizing Oracle Applications standard functionality, where possible
- Ensure testing is complete, thorough and done by the right people. This includes coordinating Integration/System testing across modules
- Ensure quality products are delivered: Work with the various teams and members to reduce the amount testing rework and defects by ensuring an appropriate timeline and quality the first-time around
- Develop application test scripts including integration tests with source and target system
- Support execution of test scripts with business users
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience supporting Oracle Financials are required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to help where needed; to be flexible with work assignments and to understand and assist with the diversity of user requests.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are also required
- Must be prompt, courteous and a good listener
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

KSA (Knowledge; Skills; Abilities)
- Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams
- Adapt at collaborating with technical development teams when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, performance issues or application updates Knowledge and familiarity in Oracle Cloud applications.
- Working and proven knowledge on Oracle Cloud applications mostly financial modules and reporting tools such as Oracle BI, Financial reporting studio and Smart view.
