Job Description

Under the general direction of the Deputy Town Manager, the Human Resources Director directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Human Resources department including recruitment, employment services, personnel issues, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, customer service, training, safety, workers’ compensation, organization and policy development, and payroll support. The Human Resources Director will have the opportunity to identify critical issues and priorities and set strategic priorities for the department.

Job Requirements

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field and five or more years of progressive Human Resources work experience. Three or more years of supervisory experience is required. Experience in administration of self-insured health programs is a plus. Professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent). A valid Texas Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one, and a safe driving record is required.

Special Instructions

The salary range for this position is $125,902—$164,696, with an anticipated hiring salary in the $150k-$160k range, DOQ.
