Position Description
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Process and manage prior authorizations for timely completion in subspecialty divisions.
  • Monitor message box for division to ensure messages are responded to timely, and urgent messages are addressed by RN/Provider within policy guidelines.
  • Monitor and process faxes and efax timely for divisions.
  • Facilitate communication between clinic and billing/coding or managed care and subspecialty divisions.
  • Assist with referral process to other specialists as directed by providers
  • Assist with scheduling appointments for other diagnostic testing, referrals, and laboratory services.
  • Assist with prepping, stocking, cleaning rooms as needed during peak clinic times and when clinic is short staffed.


Required Qualifications
High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.
