It is also active in aiding the University in foreign language endeavors and administers translation examinations in French, German, and Spanish for M.A candidates who require this; the Bilingual Proficiency Examination in Spanish for those students seeking entrance to the Bilingual Credential Program; and the Spanish Placement Examination for students whose majors require a language or students who wish to pursue a language but are unsure of placement.
