The Position

Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets to include, but not limited to, the following: property, equipment, services, food, forms, parts and supplies. Incumbents work in a warehouse, stockroom or office setting and prepare and process documents for the requisition, purchase, receipt, issuance and transfer of goods; expedite the flow of goods from vendor to user; and maintain control records for a variety of property and equipment.

The Supply Assistant will provide exceptional service to DWSS Information Services unit and support the team through effective administration in customer service, receive equipment, inspect the delivery to ensure the number of items corresponds to the packing slips, notify of case of discrepancies, inspect all the received item for damage, determine if bar codes application is required and notify FACT. Move and store all the equipment in the designated place. Proper organizational skills and office management experience is preferred to effectively support the Information Services Team and the services they provide to DWSS. It is preferred strong experience in utilizing Office 365. Required knowledge of storekeeping and inventory procedures, handling, storage, and shipment of materials. Ability to operate standard office equipment, communicate with vendors, delivery of materials. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience in stocking, shipping, issuing and receiving materials in a retail, storeroom or warehouse environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. This position require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Additional Position Criteria 1. Describe your experience of working within an Office Environment. 2. Describe your experience in working with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
