This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative support.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.59 - $23.87

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include: preparing and processing correspondence and documents; coordinating office activities: maintaining unit personnel status reports; processing unit payroll; answering and directing incoming calls; greeting and directing the public; compiling and typing various monthly reports; coordinating and preparing for special events; receiving and distributing mail; monitoring the budget and preparing yearly budget documents; maintaining various departmental records; maintaining supplies; cross-training and assisting with the Sex Offender Registry; providing clerical and administrative support to other divisions within the department; and other duties as assigned. This position performs a significant amount of independent work and requires excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Minimum Qualifications
Position requires U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma (from an accredited school) or GED. An Associate Degree in Administrative Technology or Secretarial Science is preferred. Formal education must be supplemented with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general office operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a South Carolina one upon acceptance of the position. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in PC applications using RMS, JMS, and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must be able to type a minimum of 40 corrected words per minute. Position requires NCIC certification (40-hour) or the ability to gain certification within six (6) months of assignment. Closing Date/Time:
