The Job The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office is recruiting for a Tax Collection Billing Manager to plan, organize, and direct the operations and staff of the Accounting Section of the Tax Collector Division. Essential duties include supervising, assigning, training, and evaluating supervisory, clerical, fiscal, and technical staff; participating in disciplinary actions; preparing work performance evaluations; analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining automated accounting systems; interpreting legislation, regulations and laws affecting tax collection operations; developing and implementing policies and procedures for internal controls; reviewing and implementing all accounting changes to ensure adherence to established practices and procedures; providing final review and approval of Tax Collector deposits, transfers, warrant requests; and reviewing and making final decision to approve or deny penalty waivers based on California Revenue and Taxation codes.
