What You'll Be Doing Join #TeamWake as a Public Health Nurse for the Tuberculosis Clinic! The Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic RN will investigate as well as manage active TB cases or outbreaks and conduct home visits as needed for TB treatment. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work independently as well as part of a team to report observations and communicate with persons from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The TB nurse will assure that health policies and procedures adhere to legal and regulatory statutes and ethical standards of nursing practice, enters disease findings and lab work into the North Carolina Electronic Disease Surveillance System. This position requires the nurse to be able to be fit tested for an N-95 respirator. This nurse will be required to be available for staffing emergency shelters, mass vaccination clinics as needed in response to control communicable disease.
