Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Major/Essential Functions- Provide Quality Healthcare Services to patients assigned to the Burn Division in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
- Provide medical record documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide necessary billing information as requested according to department and institutional guidelines.
- Oversee nursing staff, medical students, and resident physicians during patient interactions.
- Participate in active surgical research with medical students and resident physicians.
- Prepare and deliver lectures to medical students and resident physicians.
- Participate in all department conferences/meetings.
- Adhere to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- MD, DO or MBBS.
- Completion of an integrated Residency in Plastics/Surgery or a Residency in Plastic Surgery; OR
- Completion, or in process of completing a Burn Fellowship
- Ability to obtain a TX License.
