    Position Information

    The City of Brentwood is currently seeking dance and gymnastics instructors to teach parent and child, preschool, and elementary aged classes. The individual should have a passion for working with children and experience in ballet, tap, jazz ,cheerleading, tumbling, and/or gymnastics. The ideal candidate would enjoy working as part of a team to provide a positive and successful learning environment.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience Guidelines
    Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

    Experience:
    • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
    License/Certificate:
    • Possession of a valid California driver's license.
    • Be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR and AED or equivalent within 90 days of employment.

    The recruitment process will consist of:
    • Review of applications for minimum qualifications for the position and to ensure all materials have been submitted.
    • Department Interview - Applicants possessing these requirements may be invited to interview with the Parks and Recreation Department. The interview will cover elements of the knowledge and abilities identified in the job description.
    • Fingerprinting - Applicants who are offered a job will be required to pass a TB and HepB screening through their doctor and will be fingerprinted through the City.
    • Orientation - Applicants who have passed all of the pre-employment requirements and have submitted all of their documents will be scheduled for their first day of orientation.


    This position is not eligible for benefits.
