Job Duties What You Will Be Doing: Interpret and provide management with information on current King County administrative policies and procedures. Develop, implement and evaluate methods for monitoring existing and new administrative systems to support work activities in the section. Participate in strategic planning efforts and help develop and/or revise policies and procedures for section. Track section daily financial transactions, support reconciliation, training and support admin team and staff in these processes. Provide reports on expenses in section and support budget planning based on current financial data. Support procurement needs, which may include vendor support, creating scopes of work for small contracts and work orders as well as routing and tracking the process. Serve as the records management lead for the section. Provide technical expertise to internal staff. This includes supporting all section staff on processes and procedures and supporting Teams and SharePoint locations where electronic records and records are stored. Develop and manage projects of limited scope within work unit. Prepare presentation materials and publications for internal use. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, higher education administration, public health or in related human service field, - AND- Five years experience in student affairs, social services, community organizing, or related fields, with a focus on addressing basic needs insecurity. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience. SPECIALIZED SKILLS REQUIRED : Must be capable of independently coordinating and scheduling multiple functions and handling multiple priorities. Superior customer service skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, and students to plan and coordinate campus events. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) plus years of conference and event planning and coordination. Experience managing residential conference programs. Higher education experience. Technical fluency with Microsoft Office Professional Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft/CMS baseline system, 25Live space scheduling system (power user/administrator rights), Zoom (meeting and webinar), and Google docs, spreadsheets, email and calendaring systems. Knowledge of university operations, programs, and procedures; preferably in regards to event and centralized scheduling.
